NEW FACE FOR AN AUCKLAND ICON

246 Queen Street – now home for Cut Above’s new Academy of Beauty and Spa Therapy, their hairdressing and make-up academies - and their brand new Beauty Clinic, Day Spa, and training hair salon…..

Aucklanders who were around the central city a decade ago will remember the heyday of the 246 Fashion Centre – with its trendy boutiques and the Balcony Coffee Lounge – where everyone met for coffee and gossip, or took a shortcut through from Queen Street to the Cut Above Hairdressers and Lorne Street art galleries.  Lorne Street is still the art centre, but Cut Above is now more than hair.  The company has taken over three floors of the 246 building, which house their hairdressing and make-up schools, its high tech Academy of Beauty and Spa Therapy -  and a state-of -the-art beauty clinic, day spa and professional training salon on the Lorne Street level of 246 (above Sapro Queen Street Store.)
