COURSE DURATION: 36 WEEKS

If school isn’t working for you, you may qualify for more practical training under the Youth Guarantee programme.

Youth training provides a bridge for young people under 18 years of age with no or low qualifications towards employment, further education or training.  It aims to increase the employability of young people by providing them with foundation skills and enhancing work options through workplace learning.  Youth Guarantee scheme gives students who are more motivated in non-school settings an opportunity to re-engage with learning, and gain skills for future employment.

What will i learn

Focus is on the skills of cutting, styling, perming and colouring, combined with creative flair, communication skills, and the technical know-how to put it all together.  Early into the course you begin supervised practice in the models salons, applying what you have learned in class about salon procedures.
